Earthworms wiggle in soil.
Dreams hide out in the unconscious.
Earthworms are inches long.
Dreams are huge, from fleeting impressions to generational sagas.
Earthworms aerate the soil.
Dreams unclutter times, spaces, places.
Earthworms poke into decaying organisms.
Dreams penetrate shadow experiences.
Earthworms ingest soil, sand, and small pebbles.
Dreams filter motives, attitudes, and deeds.
Earthworms expel daily intake into burrows.
Dreams cast unconscious fare into symbol-stories.
Earthworms generate food for plants and birds.
Dreams provide spirit-life for the hungry.
Earthworms and dreams are slippery, elusive, hard to grasp –
To our peril if we ignore their action.
